Who can I contact if something is broken in my room or the shared rooms?
Please contact the janitors. You can reach them via hausmeister@kullenhof.de. Please always provide them with a concrete description of the problem as well as your room number.
Can I sublet my room?
Unfortunately the STW has decided that there can be no subletting at the moment. This will probably change sometime in the future, but as it stands now, there is no way to sublet your room.
(Yes, you can sublet your room for up to 3 months, or up to 6 months if you can prove that you need to stay abroad for your studies. To request for a sublet, you first need to find a student willing to sublet the room from you. Then, please fill out this form in our selfservice. Afterwards, you need to get a couple of signatures:
Someone from your floor can sign as WG-Mitglied. For Belegungsausschuss, you can come to their office during their office hours or put the form in the BA mail box in house 6 and you’ll get it back signed. You can reach Hausmeister in their office in room 4001 or via their contact form.
The signed form has to be handed in to Studierendenwerk at least 14 days before the sublet starts. Please also note the requirements on the form. A sublet can usually not be granted at the end of your contract period or if you’ve already subleased your room within the last 3 months.)
Where and when can I cancel my room?
You must submit your notice of termination to your landlord, usually the Studierendenwerk Aachen. The notice period is usually two months. Please always pay attention to the exact conditions in your tenancy agreement.
